What should I keep in mind when writing a sales cover letter? Like any cover letter, write content with the recipient in mind. Write a cover letter should always be individualized to the company that is hiring.
Did someone refer you to the company? Mention it.
Do you have unique selling skills, or did you write and implement a specifically incredible business expansion program? List it.
What about foreign language skills? You get the idea.

Should I list salary requirements and commission requirements within my cover letter?
Provide such information only when requested to do so. Prematurely listing your current or past sales salary with commissions/bonuses can negatively affect your candidacy. It’s best to save these all-too-critical details for the proper time.
What can I list in my pharmaceutical sales cover letter?
Like with the resume, focus the letter on *all* your relevant and transferrable skills. Relevant skills include previous involvement in the medical field, and maybe that internship that placed you in a dentist’s office.
You were exposed to medical terminology, right?
Maybe you greeted medical sales reps while in this role. If so, list it.
